Love At First SightI still remember the first moment i set my eyes upon him. The feeling was inexplicable.
It felt like a sudden rush of adrenaline, like a surge of electricity passing through me. With a racing heart and as much courage as i could possibly muster, i managed to stutter, "He- Hel- Hello!". Only to see him raising his eyebrows, letting out a snicker. As he walked past me, i could feel his skin brush against mine. I was in love.
I could literally feel the blood rising up my face. I blushed. My body felt stiff, and i could not move my legs. What an embarrassment! I was a Primary 5 student and i just talked to a complete stranger. Mother had always reminded me, time and time again, not to talk to anyone i didn't know. Being the obedient child i was, I obeyed her every word. Well, i guess he could be an exception.
He was the most charming guy I'd seen. I could get lost in his crystal clear eyes of blue. He exuded such charisma, it was such a task to keep my eyes off him. Ah, how much i longed to know his name. How much i longed for him to smile back at me. How much i longed to be his friend. Or maybe something more.
After much persuasion, my friend accompanied me as i began to follow him as he met his friends. I would pretend to be shopping in every shop he went into and we'd "coincidentally" bump into each other. Even his backview was such great viewing pleasure.
"Eh, Ivan. I've got a feeling the two girls behind are following us."
"Ya. Don't look over yet, but you know the girl on the right? The nerdy one who has zero dressing sense? She said hi to me just now. Haha, what a loser."
Did they make it audible to me on purpose? I guess so. My friend and i exchanged glances. I immediately turned around and walked away. I should have known better! Who was i to talk to him? I was just a plain jane.
Sigh. What a love at first sight.
Topic: Enforcement of 12 hours school day
Good Afternoon Principal and teachers,
Today i'm here to talk about the enforcement of the new education system in our school. I'm sure you are informed of the 12-hour school day commencing next term. There has been much discontentment, pertaining to
this new installment, within my fellow schoolmates and not forgetting, the teachers. Therefore, I would like represent the study body in voicing out our common opinion. That is, to abolish
the new system.
Firstly, we have to understand that 12 hours is not a short period of time. In fact, 12 hours makes up half of our day. Currently, school starts at 7.30 and ends at 2.50 on most days, adding up to 7 hours. Usually, halfway
through the day, most of us students feel lethargic and tired. We are unable to pay attention
during lessons in the later part of the day, much less learn anything at all. I don't see any
point in extending the school hours when students are not able to learn any more. Too long school hours would wear students out thoroughly.
Secondly, extending the school day to 12 hours would mean that school will end at 7.30pm,
which is the time people normally have their dinner.
This may place an inconvenience to people leaving further away from the school, who may take at least an hour to get home. Having dinner in school may be a solution to this problem, but it deprives students of
their family and leisure time. It would also be difficult for them to squeeze out time for homework and revision, leading to the deproving of their results, which completely defeats the
purpose of the 12hour school day.
Furthermore, a long school day would mean that there would not be any time for CCAs. CCAs have been a temporary respite for student from burying their heads in the books the whole week. This might overall affect students mentally
and physically.
Lastly, the extension of school hours is unfair to the teachers as well. Working hours last from 9 - 5 for most working adults. Even now, teachers start work
earlier and end later. Putting working hours aside, they still have to bring home assignments and scripts to mark. Extending school hours may cause a lot of stress to them, they may even lose interest in their jobs. If the teachers are able to complete the syllabus with the current timetable, i don't see any need in extending school hours, which adversely poses detrimental effects.
Hence, i would like to ask of the school to reconsider enforcing the 12hour school day system.

Okay so i think Green Mile is a very good movie. Touching as well. However, i'm against capital punishment. If an insane guy really like enjoys killing people, it's because he has a screw loose. And i don't think we should blame him for that. He should be sent to the asylum. For the others, it may be a moment of folly or they were wrongly accused. Well.
Percy should have died a terrible death. Like sit on the Old Sparky a million times without the wet sponge. He is so mean la i haven't seen anyone as mean as him. I don't think being a vegetable for the rest of his life is enough to repay for what he has done.
I pity John Coffey a lot too. He didn't choose to have those special powers. He didn't do anything wrong. He was wrongly accused. But he didn't have any choice. He was trying to save the two girls ( i think ) and he was accused for killing them. Haha thats bullllshit man. And he's sentenced to death for something he has not done. He had helped so many people along the way. He was a nice guy and they all knew it and they knew that he didn't kill the girls. But he still had to die so ke lian lah. He is such a friendly and harmless and kind and (insertanythinggoodhere) person, he could be my best friend.
I think Paul Edgecomb should be bored of life. Mr Jingles is the cutest. I think Wild Bill sucks.
Okay so i think everyone should be given a second chance even if they have done something wrong. Capital Punishment, well, isn't really a good idea. Putting the person to death wouldn't bring the victim back to life would it? They would just be killing another person and they should die too for killing someone haha kidding.
Okay all in all. The Green Mile is a great movie and i would recommend it to those who haven't caught it.

Well apparently the topic is
Nuts!
Oh man, this is nuts. Haha, there's isn't anything to talk about can!
So i guess there are several meanings to nuts.. Being insane, overly enthusiastic or just nuts, like almond nuts, pistachio nuts, uhhhh almond nuts? :/ Haha!

Went to Westwood Secondary today! All the way at Jurong! o.O Haha okay so anyway it was for this live/dry practise for the air rifle competition. Omg it's like uber cool okay. But it was super heavy. Haha really enjoyed it. Miss Aline Poh is such a nice teacher okay! We were talking about paranormal encounters on the bus! :D And she say this "lady" in white once staring at her while she was washing dishes at Mos Burger, the Marina Square branch.
Anyway yesterday NP had this dinner to celebrate the leaving of our instructor and OC. Twas quite boring but we got to catch up with each other so <3!>
